The Law Offices of Jerold E. Levine provide legal representation to medical and other professionals on all cases related to alleged professional misconduct. Clients with firearms and weapons law cases are represented in every kind of matter, including arrests and criminal law proceedings, as well as firearm license applications, investigations, disapprovals, suspensions, revocations, hearings, appeals and Article 78 court cases. Law enforcement retirees seeking firearm licenses or agency authorization letters are represented as well.
Civil service clients receive representation in many different areas. Among these are employment candidate psychological disqualifications, character disqualifications and medical disqualifications; medical and psychological employment separations; terminations; New York City Police Department cases; Civil Service Commission cases; New York City D.C.A.S. appeals; education and experience disputes; examination and eligible list issues; disciplinary charges and specifications; agency and public authority trials, hearings and arbitrations; name-clearing hearings; New York City O.A.T.H. cases; probationary and permanent employee matters; Article 75 and 78 proceedings; and disability pension cases. In addition, we offer counsel to employees who suffer from workplace harassment and hostile work environment.
Our offices work closely with psychological and medical professionals in the preparation and presentation of cases requiring expert opinion evidence, and referrals to relevant professionals are provided to clients.
